The 2008 Washington Redskins

Just 4 days after signing with the Redskins Shaun Alexander is expected to play on Sunday vs the Browns.

Former Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowler Alexander was signed Wednesday as a backup solution for injured Ladell Betts, who is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks. Alexander was released from the Seahawks after 2, due to injuries unproductive seasons. Since he’s already familiar with the Redskins Protection Scheme, Passing Game and Audible System he’s an ideal fit for instance action. According to Alexander he’s 100% for the first time since 2005 (when he was honored as NFL MVP). Even though he’s just hired as a backup, and Betts is expected back after recovery, I think it might come different than expected and Alexander could play himself back into a leading role with his new team…
